Planned project implementation
ELOprotect is available in different versions suitable for different vehicle speeds.
With your specification you help us to offer the right product for your individual needs, whereby the final vehicle speed also depends on the local storage conditions.
For your vehicles to be operated with ELOprotect, they must have certain technical features.
These features are either already present at the factory or may have to be retrofitted in advance of installation.
Please make a selection to inform us of the basic conditions required from a technical point of view for the installation and production of ELOprotect on your vehicles.
A retrofit kit, with the components required for mechanical and electrical pre-fitting, can be ordered and installed by the respective vehicle manufacturer.
Includes any advanced or external charger that charges the battery without removing it. For example, if the project is planned for 24h/7T operation.
Vehicles with such additional functions may deviate from the conventional vehicle structure under certain circumstances and must be taken into account during project planning.
Examples Charging the truck while operating in the aisle / parking outside the aisle in a "drive-in" charging station.
This refers to the interface via which the vehicle can be connected to a pedestrian safety system. For liability reasons, the installation and activation of this interface may only be carried out by the vehicle manufacturer and can therefore not be retrofitted by our technicians.
If not factory fitted, contact the respective vehicle manufacturer to have your vehicles retrofitted for operation with a pedestrian safety system.
Extended vehicle front ends influence the load-side detection range of the pedestrian safety system.
Please indicate if the guideline value of 2 metres is exceeded so that we can offer you the right product for your individual needs.
Depending on the year of construction, specific structural features may have to be taken into account in the production of the pedestrian safety system.
This specification refers to the encoders (also "rotary encoders" or "direction encoders") already present on the vehicle. This also refers to internally installed ones.
The ELOprotect product family is approved for the following nominal operating values: 24V,36V,48V,80V,90V.
Please select the applicable battery voltage for the respective vehicle from the list.
Please indicate for each vehicle whether it is guided mechanically or inductively in the aisle.
This refers to the temperature at the place of use. ELOprotect is suitable for operation at ambient temperatures of 1° to 50° C.
Not meant are the temperatures at which the ELOprotect components may be stored after shipping (before installation). These range from -25° to 70° C.
ELOprotect is designed for operation in regular narrow aisles.
Please let us know if there are any special features in one or more aisles that could deviate from the intended use of ELOprotect. E.G. 12/31/2021
Regardless of the information you provide, we will check for you whether there are any constructions that could interfere with the technical operation/function.
"End of aisle speed reduction" refers to a function that automatically reduces the speed of the vehicle to 2.5 km/h when leaving the narrow aisle and crossing transverse aisles.
According to DIN 15185-2:2013-2 point 4.6, this function must be covered by the protective device if the respective vehicle type does not already provide this function.
Please indicate whether end of aisle speed reduction is already provided by the vehicle (by RFID or magnets) or whether this function must be ensured by ELOprotect.
"Stop at the end of the aisle" means an optional extension of the end-of-aisle restraint system in which the vehicle is braked to a standstill at the end of the aisle.
Please indicate whether this function is already provided by the vehicle or whether this function is to be ensured by ELOprotect.
Fabric protrusions of up to 5 cm in length are generally irrelevant for operation with ELOprotect. However, values exceeding this must be taken into account during commissioning.
Please state the length in centimetres of the largest goods protrusion present.
Crash barriers, ceiling supports or other aisle/shelf structures projecting into the narrow aisle must be taken into account when commissioning ELOprotect.
Please indicate whether any such structural features are present.
A designated simultaneous stay of pedestrians and vehicles is not covered by ELOprotect.
If several vehicles are in the same aisle at the same time as intended, collision protection measures must be taken in addition to pedestrian safety.
Please make a selection so that we can offer you the right product for your individual needs.
"Open on both sides" means that the narrow aisle can be entered from both sides (no dead end).
Please indicate whether the aisles are open on one or both sides so that we can better assess the situation on site.
If the shelf is only present on one side or only partially on one side, we speak of a single-sided narrow aisle operation. This is automatically the case when there is a wide aisle.
Please indicate whether the aisles are shelved on one or two sides so that we can better assess the situation on site.
After the installation 2-3 of the local technician(s) will be trained to perform future first level supports on the ELOprotect system by themselves (know the ELOprotect functions, solve common problems, exchange common spare parts, read out diagnosis data, reset system etc.) or by contacting our hotline. Additionally, the local technician(s) will receive ELOKON’s diagnosis kit: with this kit the local technician(s) on client site will be able to connect to the ELOprotect system and get diagnostical information if required.
