Günter Scheck retires

There was a lot planned for ELOKON in 2020. ELOKON is not only celebrating its 25th anniversary of the founding of the GmbH. Günter Scheck, an employee who has remained loyal to the company for over 30 years, is also retiring. Festivities couldn’t take place as planned due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but a small group managed to say a fitting goodbye to Günter.

He was there right from the start – Günter Scheck retires

Günter Scheck started work at what was then the the engineering office for the development of special electronics in 1989, first helping out in the production department. He then moved to the service department as a field service technician, installing products for customers. This kept him out on the road for a few years until he was back in the office scheduling service planning. He was then heavily involved in providing technical support for personal protection systems such as ELOprotect for customers and service technicians.

Günter's long-standing experience has been of major significance for ELOKON and a contributing factor to its success. He was there throughout as it grew from a small company to an internationally recognized brand, his loyalty and comittment also had an influence on ELOKON’s sustainable growth.

A small group met up when Günter’s farewell gift was presented to him by Dr. Auerbach on behalf of the management. Well aware of Günter’s passion for (model) railways, they chose a very fitting gift - a tail lantern from a real train.

We’ll make sure we celebrate in style with Günter once the security measures are lifted. We held a surprise party for his 30th anniversary and that of his colleague Markus Kusiak in September 2019 when life was still „as normal“. Click here for the full report.

But the management and all employees are looking forward to getting together regularly again when possible for one of Günter’s established traditions – his much loved Döner-Dienstag or kebab Tuesday! Until then, dear Günter, enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
